Several years ago a group of dedicated clergy and laity were called upon to form a new district from remnants of two existing districts, the Crossroads and Blue Water Districts. We quickly set about the task of making meaningful connections and engaging in mission Our mission statement is: Equipping churches to serve Christ through quality communication, collaboration, and training. We have seen valued members leave and we have welcomed new disciples, but our focus has not changed. We strive to provide support and resources for the continued success of the local churches through program grants, mission opportunities and loans for building improvement projects.
This year we will welcome back some churches that were previously members of our founding districts as well as add some new churches. We also welcomed a new district superintendent, the Rev Dr Margorie Crawford, and sent Rev John Hice our best wishes as he started a new phase of his ministry in retirement.
I am Carol Kandell, CPA, the chairperson of the Leadership. I am but one small cog in the machine that is the Leadership Team.
